We’re hosting our HPN Annual General Meeting on Thursday 27 September at the Palais Theatre in Franklin.
Come along for a great social evening, chat with local producers, sample some delicious Sri Lankan cuisine and quiz some of the council candidates on their vision for supporting local producers during the Q + A session.
We’ll need to know numbers for catering, so please register at the EventBrite link here. It’s free for HPN members but we’ll be asking a $10 fee for non-members to cover catering costs. If you decide to join up as a member on the night, we’ll deduct the $10 from your membership fee.
If you’re an HPN member, you’ve got voting rights on the election of committee members – and if you’d like to nominate yourself or anyone else for a position – you can download the nomination form here.
5:30pm – 6:00pm
Official business – open to all to attend but only Members will have casting votes. During this time we will be electing the Committee for the coming year.
6:00pm – 6:30pm
Enjoy some complimentary Sri Lankan finger food from our wonderful local caterers (Chris & Darshi), as well as some drinks from the cash bar.
6:30pm – 8:00pm
We will be joined by candidates for the upcoming Huon Valley Council elections. These candidates have offered to present their views on food production and policy in the Huon and will form a panel for a Q&A session.
If you’ve got any questions, email our public officer, Jane Herring.
